Thursday 5th December - Carols for Europe

Where - Aneurin Bevan Statue, Queen Street

When - 5pm

Come and sing Christmas carols in English, Welsh and other European languages. A chance to celebrate Christmas and our European heritage. Gwenno Dafydd will be leading the singing You don't have to be a good signer to join in. but if you have friends who like singing or are choir members, please do share the event with them.

A terrific event! Helen Wales, Cardiff For Europe/Caerdydd Dros Ewrop Chair, said
"What an amazing day! Thank you to everyone who came, supported, donated, stewarded, sang, chanted, took photos, made banners, gave out flyers and, basically, made today the peaceful-loud, Welsh-European success it was. We even made the sun come out!"

Saturday 21st September - Flagging on M4 Bridges With Gwent For Europe

We plan to join Gwent For Europe to put flags out at some M4 bridges in Newport. Use the website contact form if you're able to help.

What Happened

Out we went today to the M4 as promised to respond to arriving Brexit Party people. It was a great success with so many honks of support that neighbours came out to watch. A pleasure to meet and work together with members of Gwent for Europe!!"



Saturday 14th September - Cardiff North Remain Rally

The Prime Minister has shut down Parliament to shield his failing Government from scrutiny.

In silencing MPs, he is silencing the people.

Cardiff North MP, Anna McMorrin, said "Thank you to all who came to my Cardiff North for Remain rally and march this afternoon. Such an amazing atmosphere and brilliant to see hundreds of people take to the streets of Whitchurch to campaign for Remain!"



Friday 13th September - Wales For Europe March and Rally

Join Adam Price AM, Owen Smith MP and Anna Soubry MP this Friday 13th September at 5.30pm at The Neon, Clarence Place, Newport NP19 7AB and demand a People's Vote on Brexit! 5.30pm for a 6.30pm start and the event will last 1 hour. What Happened

Hundreds again turned out at the Senedd for a great rally from the 1st speaker to the end.




Tuesday September 3rd - Cardiff People's Assembly have called a Defend Democracy rally on Tuesday 3rd September at 6pm at the Aneurin Bevan Statue on Queen Street. We'll be joining them.

What Happened

Hundreds turned out for the Defend Democracy rally and many terrific speakers including our own CfE Chair, Helen Wales. The rally was also shown live on ITV Cymru Wales Evening News.

Saturday August 31st - We'll will be in town with flags to join the rugby crowd welcoming the teams to the stadium.

What Happened


Great turn out of EU flags and banners to greet both the thousands of fans turning up for the Wales v Ireland friendly rugby match in the Principality Stadium and the team buses.

A common comment was "What was an incredible day!" Lots of whooping for Wales for Europe & chants of Bollocks to Brexit...& all in glorious sunshine. Fab!

Come along and explain to Brexit supporters the many reasons why its vital for all of us that we stay in the EU

What Happened


We had a great response outside Penylan Library. Lots of support, conversations, mostly to Remain but also included one with a lady who wanted Brexit but after a long conversation with her she left saying that we had given her food for thought.

Thanks to all who came and supported the Queen Street stall.

As you can see on the Brexitometer, the people of Cardiff have yet again said they don't want Brexit by a huge majority.

Come along to find out more about the Cardiff for Europe campaign, share your thoughts about what we need to do, find out how you can be more involved and meet some fantastic and committed Europeans!

Thanks to everyone who came to our social evening tonight especially seeing the new faces who have joined our campaign.

Great to hear from Anna McMorrin MP too about the current position amongst MPs.

Flags and Banners on A48 Bridge

Fun bit of campaigning on the footbridge over the A48 in Pentwyn. For the evening rush hour traffic Cardiff activists set up flags, signs and had loads of beeps, thumbs ups and waves from the rush hour traffic.

Wednesday, May 15th -Wales Constituency Hustings for the European Parliament Election


What Happened:

On Wednesday 15th May between 7:30pm and 9:30pm, Cardiff For Europe are holding a 'Hustings Evening' with  candidates for the Parties standing in the EU election on 23rd May attending: Labour; Conservative; Liberal Democrat; Plaid Cymru; Green; Change UK. Also candidates or representatives from the Brexit Party and UKiP were invited but declined the invitation.

Location: Upper Room, City United Reformed Church, 33 Windsor Place, Cardiff, CF10 3BZ

The evening was a 'sell-out' with all 60 tickets being taken. Six European Parliament candidates attended. All the candidates gave excellent informed responses to the many varied audience questions on the many issues facing the people of Europe The candidates were: 

 Carmen Ria Smith - Plaid Cymru 

 Craig Lawton - Conservative 

 Sam Bennett - Liberal Democrat 

 Anthony Slaughter - Leader Wales Green Party 

 Jon Owen Jones - Change UK 

 Mark Whittcutt - Labour UKIP 

The Brexit Party were invited to send a representative. UKIP advised they were unable to and the Brexit Party didn't respond
